Traditional Thai Massage

Thai massage on a floor mat, no oil. 30, 50, 70 or 100 minutes, from 799 CZK.

How it goes

You change into loose cotton trousers and a top we give you; nothing comes off. The massage is on a firm mat on the floor, not a table, because the therapist uses her body weight, not just her arms. She starts at your feet and works up the legs, pressing along the lines Thai massage calls sen with palms and thumbs, then stretches each leg against her own. Then your back, with the forearm along the spine, and the shoulders, where most people carry the week. The last ten minutes are sitting up: shoulders, neck and a slow stretch backwards over her knee. You'll feel it the next morning — in a good way, like after a long walk.

Who it's for

Anyone stiff from sitting, driving or flying; runners and cyclists; people who find oil massage too gentle.

Pick something else if… If you want to drift off, choose an oil massage — Thai massage keeps you present. For a first massage ever, or if you bruise easily, start with Thai Oil.

How long to book

30 minutes covers back and shoulders only. 50 minutes is the full body at a working pace. 70 adds real stretching. 100 is the proper traditional sequence from feet to head, with time to return to whatever was tight.

Good to know

  • Come no sooner than an hour after a big meal.
  • Showers available but not needed — no oil.
  • Not during pregnancy; see Pregnancy Massage.
  • Combines well with a 30-minute Foot & Leg Massage before.
